(Some of the) Cats of Chemical Rhetoric

The great thing about Zoom meetings is that you sometimes get a glimpse into the lives and furry companions of those on the other side of the screen. At our last CRG meeting, these adorable fluff balls contributed to the meeting by walking over and perching on the keyboards of Chemical Rhetoric Group members, making sure they were aware that they are very much the property of their feline friends, rather than the other way around.

We were especially happy to have our new group member, Gia Almuaili, join us from Chicago. She will be starting her Ph.D. work here at the University of Utah in the Department of Communication in the fall, and we are simply paws over tails excited about it (har, har–you know I wasn’t going to be able to resist a cat pun). Gia is spending this summer in Kuwait working to Abolish Article 153: Homepage | Abolish Article 153 (abolish153.org) We wish her the very best of luck in this extremely important work and are excited to have her expertise in health communication and media technologies in CRG and in the department.
