I am really excited to take on a new position at the University of Utah: Associate Dean for Research in the College of Humanities.
One of my first tasks in this new role has been to try and catalogue the many amazing books that faculty in our college have published over the last decades. The result of that cataloguing led to the following article demonstrating the exceptional growth in book publishing that the college has seen recently: A Remarkable Chapter in Humanities Scholarship: 94 Books Since 2020 – U Research.
It is a true honor for me to support faculty research and funding. I can’t wait to see the upcoming books and journal articles that faculty in the College of Humanities continue to publish in the weeks and years ahead. I’m hoping to smooth the path for them a bit and make it clear how valuable their work is in the process of building healthy, happy, and robust communities.
