Our College hosted a fantastic event to support academic book writing earlier this month. We had a group of wonderful participants, including Dean Wanda Pillow (see below; photo credit to Elizabeth Johnson and the LAS MarCom team), and had the opportunity to ponder the ins and outs of book writing and publishing together.
Along the way, we considered questions such as how and when to reach out to editors, whether to submit to a book series, and how to balance promotion pressures with the book timeline.
We also had some fun along the way, too (or at least I did, clearly). Cheers to writing, reading, and citing excellent academic books!
