Miya Jordan is a recent graduate of our department and a smart, hard-working member of our research team. She worked with us to publish a recent article on teaching about fertility in sex education classes, and her eye toward the social determinants of health and the community based aspects of health were such a boon to our team’s reading of the interviews we did.
This fall Miya took the exciting step of beginning medical school at the University of Utah. Her goal is to become a specialist in pediatric/emergency medicine. She has already passed her first round of exams, and I am so very happy to be getting to root her on as she takes on this very important work and journey. Keep up the great work, Miya!!
