Over the past two years, I have had the great privilege of working with an amazing team of reproductive health scholars and professionals on a project that explores how prenatal genetic screening results (particularly results having to do with sex chromosomes) are communicated to patients. This past month, three members of our team (Claudia Geist, Jami Baayd, and Caitlin Quade) presented a poster on some of our findings at the University of Utah’s 1U4U Symposium hosted by the Office of the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Big thanks go out to Caitlin, Jami, and Claudia for presenting our project in this capacity, and to the other members of our team, Susanna Cohen and Gentry Carter, for inviting me to be a part of this research. We still have work to do, but it has been great to begin sharing some of what we’ve found with the broader research and healthcare communities.
