Last July, Ben traveled to the University of South Florida after being selected to take part in the National Communication Association’s Doctoral Honor’s Seminar. The seminar’s theme was “Communication, Engagement, and Social Justice,” which fit perfectly with Ben’s dissertation project on the negotiation of intersectional stigma. He joined excellent faculty leaders and other outstanding doctoral candidates from around the country in the “Rhetoric and/or Performance Studies” seminar.
