Dr. Ray’s engaging B. Aubrey Fisher Memorial Lecture was entitled “A Green Oasis in the History of my Life: Race and the Culture of Debating in Antebellum Charleston, South Carolina.” Here she is pictured after her lecture with me and Dr. Kent Ono.
